1st Anniversary

Wow 1 year!!

It’s been a year since I had taught my first yoga class. I can’t believe it’s been a year already. Looking back, I’ve had three different locations for classes; Center Stage Dance, then my sister let me use her basement for the summer when the air conditioner wasn’t on at the studio. And finally, I found a good fit with Melissa and Alaina at Studio 22 Dance and Performing Arts. They had just opened, and I was lucky enough to contact them about classes. Mr. Brody at Soddy Daisy Middle School welcomed me into the after-school program last year. Happily, I have started classes there again this year. I am happy to now be able to offer Morning classes on Mondays and two evening classes, Wednesday, and Friday.

But enough of all that. OMG it’s been a year!! This has been a dream of mine to teach yoga. I thank you all for coming out to classes and checking yoga out. I love the smiling faces that come in for class. I can’t wait to get more of y’all in to class. I have learned so much in the teacher training that I had taken over the years. Doing yoga and teaching it is so different. I did not realize all the things that teachers had to know about beforehand. But in training and my advance training I am still currently enrolled in (300 hr teacher training) I have learned so much that I want to teach you. Not just the basic yoga techniques, the breathing, but the light that shines in us all. To find that peace and stillness. All the teachings remind me why I started taking yoga to begin with. I hope we all grow in ourselves, love ourselves and understand our bodies more with every passing year.

I am so grateful to everyone who has helped me along this first year. My husband Mike, who supports me in anything I want to try. My kids for making dinners and helping around the house in the evening. My sister for letting me use her house for a while. Mr. Brody at SDMS, Victoria at Center Stage Dance, Melissa, and Alania at Studio 22. My daughter in law Kaitlyn for coming to the first couple months of classes for support. Thank you all so much. I can’t wait to see what year two has in store.

Namaste

Angie
