It’s February!!

Phil has officially seen his shadow and we have 6 more weeks of winter!

February is the month of love and kindness. ❤️

We show ourselves love and kindness by taking care of ourselves, body, and mind. Taking time to take care of ourselves is important.

Try being mindful throughout your day. What you’re doing, eating and the time you spend doing things.

This month I wanted to share a meditation technique; this one is called.

Loving-kindness meditation (sometimes called “metta” meditation) is a great way to cultivate our propensity for kindness. It involves mentally sending goodwill, kindness, and warmth towards others by silently repeating a series of mantras.

If you would like to try it, start getting comfortable, lying down or in a seated position and start to feel your breath. Focusing on your breath until you are calm and balanced. When you feel comfortable resting with the flow of your breathing, picture someone in your life who loves you, or who loved you unconditionally. Then start to say to yourself or out loud.

“May I be safe and protected and free from inner and outer harm. May I be happy and contented. May I be healthy and whole to whatever degree possible. May I experience ease of well-being.
May I be safe and protected and free from inner and outer harm. May I be happy and contented. May I be healthy and whole to whatever degree possible. May I experience ease of well-being.”

Afterwards, sit for a few moments reflecting on your thoughts.

Wednesday midweek flow with a Yoga Nidra ending at 6:30 pm

Friday evening yoga at 6pm (this class has changed from 6:30 to 6pm)
