March is sure coming in like a lion here in Tennessee!! We have had storm after storm so far. Lets hope that it calms and we can enjoy some beautiful weather.
March is a busy month for me 😊 It’s my birthday month!! Yay!!
March 2 is the anniversary of the first day I held Adult Yoga classes! Before that I was only teaching children’s yoga. I thank you all so much for coming out and trying a Yoga class. I hope to see more of you. I love coming to class and seeing all your smiling faces and I hope you leave each class feeling calm and happy.

Happy St. Patty’s Day!! March 17 is the day we celebrate the heritage and culture of the Irish. I love to make Irish Potatoes to celebrate. Irish potatoes are a Philadelphia tradition, one that's more than a century old. In the weeks leading up to St. Patrick's Day, the cinnamon-coated, coconut cream spheres pop up in area candy stores & gift shops. I will have some for you to try if you would like the week of St. Patty’s Day.

March 20th is the first day of spring!! That week during classes we will be having a special Spring equinox sequence. Lots of heart openers to welcome the season in.
A few class changes:
Online Classes on Tuesday night will be changing times. It will be starting earlier at 7:45-8:30pm EST.
(I will log on 10 minutes early, start at 7:45)
Uplift fitness in Dunlap, Wednesday Morning class has changed to 9:30 CST/10:30 EST.

Asana of the month
Fish Pose/Matsyasana

This pose improves posture and strengthens the upper back and neck. It also stretches the throat, navel, abdominals, and the intercostal muscles between the ribs.
To do this asana, lie on your back, slide your hands, palms down under your buttocks.
Pressing down with your forearms, bending at the elbows, and lifting your chest arching your back. Tilt your head so the top rests on the floor. Keeping your weight on your elbows. Hold for 30 secs
A variation of fish pose is to lie down on your back, bring your hands over your head palms down fingers pointed towards your head, bend at the knees and press down on your toes and arch your back. Keeping weight on your hands and not your head.
