Kid's Yoga Classes

Are you a school or organization that is interested in trying yoga for your students? Do you have child(ren) interested in yoga?

Kid's yoga is the funniest yoga! From animal noises to moving together in a forest, kids have so much fun in class. Kid's yoga differs depending on the ages of the students. Participants in kid's yoga range from 2-6 years old. There are lots of games, jumping around and sometimes a story book will be included. The 7-10 years old age group have games, with more asanas (poses) introduced. The 11-16 years old age group adds more sequences, adding a little fun into class. In this group we also work toward a perk pose in our semesters/class groups.

Yoga and mindfulness have been shown to improve both physical and mental health in school-age children (ages 6 to 12). Yoga improves balance, strength, endurance, and aerobic capacity in children. Research has already shown that yoga can improve focus, memory, self-esteem, academic performance, and classroom behavior. Yoga can even reduce anxiety and stress in children.

Yoga can also help and strengthen child athletes and helps their performance into adulthood. Yoga has been proven to help with less injuries.

I have always had a passion for teaching children. I am a certified and licensed yoga teacher and a certified children's yoga teacher. I am fun and compassionate. I make classes fun and enjoyable. I have been teaching Kid's yoga since 2021 but have been teaching children's yoga for over 20 years. I have taught kids with ADD, ADHD, high functioning autism, and young athletes.

In our classes we start out with a breathing exercise, followed by asanas (poses), games and finally ending with savasana. It is completed with our mindfulness exercise in which we lay on the mats and listen to our breath and our body.
